Barbados Cooperative Investment Fund
The Cooperative Investment Fund (CIFBB) harnesses the financial resources of Barbadians at home and abroad and uses it to transform the economy of Barbados by boosting economic activity.
CIFBB provides viable alternative investment opportunities to all Barbadians with the goal of combating an investment climate of "sell" Barbados at any cost.
With our members which comprise both businesses and individuals, we are making a positive economic impact across Barbados and improving the strength of the co-operative sector.
Membership is open to all organizations and individuals. Contributions can be made by members of co-operatives, co-operative business organizations and the general public (through membership in the CIF).
If 60,000 Barbadians each invest BDS$100, an immediate investment pool of BDS$6,000,000 would be established. Should this investment be continued for just 6 months, the total pool would grow to BDS$36,000,000.
